The HBT uniform or Herring Bone Twill (because of fabric appearance) is a general purpose uniform made for combat. It has been used in the European theatre since D-Day and its massive use in UTAH beach. A modification was done on the early type to be equipped with a gas flap, mid war type like this one already have it. This jacket was found 8 years ago in Normandy. It is in good condition and still have its gas flap sewn. The size is 36R so perfect for a mannequin or an average man. The label is not present anymore as it was really worn. It has a nice color and we can notice the previous presence of grades on the sleeves.
