In 1943, regarding to the number of ship sunks between USA and UK by Uboots, the US Governement pass contracts with local british manufacturers to make some US equipments. With a different web pattern. The Specs were nearly the same than US original contracts. In 1943 the equipment build will start to show up with some US original hooks while during 1944, UK hooks were mounted on the suspenders, bags ... 
The example below is a rare pair of M36 Suspenders made with the 1944 specs with British hooks. The markings can't be read but it is probably from BHGL and made in 1945 ? It is in good condition and it shows some thread around the adustable sling probably to keep them together. It has been done either by the soldier or the manufacturer. 
Really rare to find in this condition !
